Renovation FAQ

Please note: several of the resort guest room buildings, our lobby, plus the pool and pool deck will be closed and under major renovation to provide our guests with an elevated experience in the future.  During this time, Sands Pointe and Barefoot's restaurants will be under construction, but guests are invited to enjoy our Marina pool at Longboat Key Moorings via shuttle service, our world-renowned beach, as well as other dining options around the resort. Please note, your specific accommodations will not be under renovation. The guest rooms and suites that are under renovation will be taking place in buildings that are not occupied. However, please be aware there will be construction noise. Due to the construction, a discounted rate will be available. Guests can look forward to an enhanced product and new design, debuting throughout 2020.

Q: How do I book a discounted construction rate?

A: We are offering guests staying during construction a 40% discount off our published leisure rate on stays through December 19, 2019. Click here to redeem this rate.

Q: What areas of the resort will be open and closed during this time?

A: The following areas will be open:

  • Spike 'n Tees
  • Portofino
  • Tavern + Whiskey Bar
  • The beach area
  • Select accommodations
  • Spa
  • Fitness Center and Mind & Motion Studio
  • Marina and Marina Pool
  • Tennis Gardens
  • 45 Holes of golf will be available on the Links and Harbourside Golf Courses.

The following areas will be closed:

  • Lobby
  • Resort pool
  • Sands Pointe
  • Barefoot's Bar & Grille
  • A series of accommodations will be closed to guests on a rotating basis as they undergo and complete construction. If you stay during this time, we cannot guarantee you will stay in a renovated room.

Q: Where will check-in be located?

A: Check-in will be located at the Islandside building, which is the building to your right after you enter through the guard gate. Signage will be posted to direct you to check-in.

Q: How do I access the Marina pool?

A: Transportation will be provided.

Q: Can I get food and drinks at the Marina pool?

A: Yes; food and beverage service is available Thursday - Sunday.

Q: Will my guest room or suite be affected?

A: Your specific accommodations will not be affected. The guest rooms and suites that are under renovation will be contained in buildings that are not occupied.

Q: Will the Spa, or Tennis Gardens be affected?

A: No

Q: Where will breakfast be served?

A: Islandside Dining Room, Spike 'n Tees, and Room Service

A: Yes

Q: How do I access the beach?

A: The north boardwalk to the beach will remain accessible.
