Winter Activities

As you enter your Florida vacation state of mind, make plans to explore beyond the beaches and lawns of The Resort at Longboat Key Club. While there is plenty to enjoy across our Sarasota beach resort’s 410 acres, you can also experience the best of local attractions – many featuring exciting winter celebrations.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens: “Warhol:  Flowers in the Factory”: Stroll through the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, just 5 miles away from our hotel, and explore more than 10,000 images of flowers created by Andy Warhol from Feb. 11 – June 30.

The Ringling Museum: With unique exhibits, events and performances lined up, The Ringling is a must-stop destination for Sarasota visitors. Travelers seeking to put a winter spin on their visit can take a walking tour through Ca’ d’Zan, the former home of circus owner John Ringling.

Mote Marine Aquarium: Just a mile from our beachfront resort, the Mote Marine Aquarium offers an unforgettable experience with over 100 species of marine life, two touch tanks and a 135,000-gallon shark habitat. Fun for visitors of all ages, the year-round destination is also ideal for education and events.

Sarasota Opera: See what’s showing through March 2018 and get tickets to “Manon Lescaut,” “Carmen,” “Norma” and other live performances at the Sarasota Opera, now in its 59th season. In between time on the beach and at nearby gardens, make room to see a show in the restored theater that dates back to 1926.

Following a day of memory making, return to your luxury room or suite at The Resort at Longboat Key Club and enjoy a host of thoughtful amenities.

Don’t have time to venture off property on this vacation? No worries. You can still fill your days with tennis, golf, swimming and spa services in addition to much-needed beach time. Stay fueled up at any of our eight restaurants and lounges serving locally inspired cuisine.

Plan adventures that will keep you coming back year after year, season after season or month after month.
