Select winemakers from around the world come together to collaborate with The Resort at Longboat Key Club at the 8th Annual Celebration of Food and Wine which will dazzle your eyes and thrill your palate. Eat, drink, and be merry for a good cause, as a portion of the proceeds from Bacchus on the Beach benefits The Longboat Key Foundation Education Fund which will provide scholarship opportunities to local college students studying the field of hospitality. The Longboat Key Foundation is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

  • The French Connection: Chateau De Beaucastel & Tablas Creek Perspective
    • Thursday, November 8 at the Longboat Key Club Beach | 5:30pm
    • An event to honor a true visionary of the wine world, Robert Haas (1927 - 2018). Haas stood at the top of the wine world as a producer, importer, and industry sage. Haas was instrumental in shipping and elevating our wine tastes. He also impacted the quality of wines imported to the United States. Robert Haas was the first to import Chateau Petrus to U.S. soil, but over his 50-year relationship with Rhone Valley icon Chateau Beaucastel and the Perrin family best exemplifies his lifelong commitment to bringing the great wines of the world to the U.S. market. Please join for a progressive dinner that features a vertical tasting of the wines of Chateau Beaucastel and Tablas Creek from 1998 to 2011.

  • Piedmonte to Pisa: La Spinetta & Contratto
    • Thursday, November 8 at Portofino Ristorante | 7:00pm
    • Indulge your passion for great Italian wines, with a chef-inspired meal showcasing Brunello to Barolos, and everything in between and beyond. This evening is an Italian wine enthusaist's dream come true.

  • Cambria Wine & Artisan Cheese Pairing
    • Friday, November 9 Under the Oaks at Islandside | 1:00pm
    • Join Tracey Shepos Cenami, Chef for Kendall-Jackson and your cheese specialist for an afternoon of wine and cheese pairing. This will be a class that pairs select wines and accoutrements with allocated wines from Cambria Vineyards with Tracy sharing her passion and knowledge.
    • $85 inclusive per person
  • Barrel Tasting: Star Lane Vineyard, Happy Valley Canyon
    • ​Friday, November 9 at the South Lawn on the Beach | 3:30pm
    • Attendees will have the opportunity to taste barrel samples from unreleased vintages of wines from the Star Lane Cellars. Guests will experience and taste single Bordeaux varietals and then learn the processes the winemakers go through blending these varietals to make a wine. During the seminar, guests will be treated to plates of assorted cheeses, bread, and wines from Star Lane Vineyards.

  • Stone Crab Celebration & Winemaker Auction
    • Friday, November 9 at the Longboat Key Club Beach | 5:30pm
    • Enjoy the perfect complement of culinary offerings from the Chefs at Longboat Key Club, and of course, Stone Crab! This will be a night long remembered for wonderful wines, delicious food, live music and dancing in the sand, and a Winemakers Auction to benefit a very worthy cause. It is a party with a purpose!
