Bacchus on the Beach: 2017

Select winemakers from around the world come together to collaborate with The Resort at Longboat Key Club and local artists at the 7th Annual Celebration of Food and Wine which will dazzle your eyes and thrill your palate. Eat, drink, and be merry for a good cause, as a portion of the proceed from Bacchus on the Beach benefits the research, education, and outreach of Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium.

  • Somm-Jam Dinner | Thursday, November 9 at North Beach
    • 5:30pm Reception  / 6:00pm Dinner
    • Wine and Music enthusiasts alike will enjoy in this unique event on the beach. The evening will begin with a multi-course progressive dinner hosted by Master Sommelier Michael Jordan. The wines presented and paired will include selections from prestigious wineries such as Capensis, Galerie, Freemark Abbey, La Jota, Mt. Brave, and Cardinale. After dinner, the night will culminate with Sommeliers and Musicians playing music around the fire pit and sharing wine.

  • Breganze Harvest: Maculan Winemakers of Breganze | Thursday, November 9 at Portofino Ristorante
    • 7:30pm Reception / 8:00pm Dinner
    • Indulge yourself in a journey of Italian inspired cuisine paired with the Maculan Family wines of Breganze. Our special guest that evening is Angela Maculan who has chosen varietals and vintages from her estate to share with us. Showcasing all the incredible craftsmanship of the Maculan winemakers and all the nuances of the Breganze Terrior.

  • Wine Blending Seminar | Friday, November 10 Under the Oaks at Island House
    • 2:00pm
    • Hosted by Master Sommelier Michael Jordan and the wines of Freemark Abbey. Attendees will learn to blend their own wine and create their own label. Small plates and cheeses will be provided during the class. Prizes will be awarded for most creative label, and the best part is you will be able to take the wine you created home with you!
    • $50 inclusive, limited to the first 25 people
  • Bacchus on the Beach Stone Crab Celebration & Winemaker Auction | Friday, November 10 at the Festival Tent on Longboat Key Club Beach
    • 5:30pm
    • Our Stone Crab Celebration and Grand Tasting offer over 100 selections from featured wineries, winemakers, and producers. Enjoy the perfect complement of culinary offerings from the Chefs at Longboat Key Club, and of course, Stone Crab! This will be a night long remembered for wonderful wines, delicious food, live music and dancing in the sand, and a Winemakers Auction to benefit a very worthy cause. It is a party with a purpose!
