Known as the "watery challenge," the 6,792 yard Islandside course borders the Gulf of Mexico with water hazards coming into play on all 18 holes. Accuracy off the tee is essential, while Tifdwarf grass on the greens ensures smooth putting surfaces.

More than 5,000 palm trees and pink and white blooming oleander line the fairways and canals, making Islandside one of Florida’s most beautiful courses.

Hole #2		Hole #15
Par 5 - 500 yards		Par 4 - 420 yards
This is a true risk/reward hole from the teeing ground all the way to the green. The hole is bordered by water on both sides for its entire length; plus water must be crossed in front of the green. There is one well-placed fairway bunker on the right side and greenside bunker on the left. The longer player may choose to go for the green in two, but the penalty is severe if the second shot is mis-hit. Most players choose to lay up short of the water in front and play a 100-yard shot to the rather large green that is sloped back to front.		A really tough par 4 hole – the drive must be long and straight to avoid water on the right and out of bounds on the left. There is also a fairway bunker on the right awaiting a pushed drive. The second shot will be from 175 to 200 yards to an elevated green that is bunkered on both sides. The green slopes back to front, and it is very important to be on the correct portion of the putting surface.
